Transport for London (TfL) has announced that single adult bus and tram fares in London will increase by 10p, reaching £1.85, starting in November. This adjustment includes the ‘Hopper’ fare system, which permits unlimited bus and tram journeys within one hour for a single charge.
The fare increase, effective from 1 November, will also see prices for those with eligible concession cards rise by 5p. This marks the first time TfL’s bus and tram fares have increased since March 2023.
However, price caps for Tube, rail, and Travelcards are set to remain frozen until next March, according to TfL. London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan had previously extended the bus and tram fare freeze to November, after it was initially scheduled to end in July.
