The premiere date for the second season of The Celebrity Traitors has been announced. The show is set to kick off on Thursday 1 October at 8pm BST on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
New episodes will air twice a week, on Thursday and Friday evenings at 8pm. The BBC previously confirmed the show's return and shared the full line-up for the new season.
This year's contestants include James Blunt, Bella Ramsey, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Maya Jama. Other participants feature Richard E Grant, Michael Sheen, Myha’la, Miranda Hart, James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Romesh Ranganathan, Joanne McNally, Rob Beckett, Jerry Hall, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Ross Kemp, Amol Rajan, Sharon Rooney, Professor Hannah Fry, King Kenny, and Sebastian Croft.
A new spin-off show, Traitor Or Faithful? Claudia Decides, will reveal how host Claudia Winkleman chooses her Traitors. The official video podcast, The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, hosted by Ed Gamble, is also returning to BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Sounds.
The contestants will compete to win a cash prize for a charity of their choice. The first season saw comedian Alan Carr win and received awards at the BAFTA TV Awards.
