The Split Up, a new drama series, has launched on BBC iPlayer. The show comes from the team behind The Split and follows a family-run law firm specialising in divorce cases for high-net-worth individuals.
The series is written by Ursula Rani Sarma and is set in Manchester, focusing on the British South Asian Kishan family. Sanjeev Bhaskar stars as Dhruv Kishan, the recently widowed patriarch who is preparing to transfer control of his firm to his daughter, Aria (Ritu Arya).
A key plot point involves Dhruv's decision to bring financial specialist Luke (Dimitri Leonidas) into the firm, who previously had a one-night stand with Aria. Other family members include Aria's sister Maya (Aysha Kala) and brother Kav (Arian Nik).
