Dorset Police have confirmed three additional arrests in their ongoing murder investigation following the death of an 18-year-old man in Poole. The victim's fatal injuries were discovered near a hospital on Longfleet Road at approximately 02:13 BST on Friday, sparking a rapid response from authorities.
Among those newly arrested is a 19-year-old man from Poole, who voluntarily presented himself to police overnight and remains in custody. Meanwhile, two men – aged 22 from London and 22 from Bletchley, Buckinghamshire – initially held on suspicion of assisting an offender have now been re-arrested on suspicion of murder. They too remain in police custody. A 20-year-old man from Blandford, arrested on Friday, continues to be held on suspicion of murder.
Investigations suggest the incident may have originated in Dale Close, Poole, where the victim was allegedly stabbed before being driven approximately 1.5 miles (2.4km) to Longfleet Road, where he was found. It has been reported that two men – aged 36 and 38 from Bournemouth – were previously arrested on suspicion of murder but have since been released without further police action.
Detective Superintendent Neil Third has issued an appeal for public assistance, specifically seeking information about a dark-coloured Nissan Juke. This vehicle was reportedly seen in the vicinity of Dale Close during the early hours of Friday. Det Supt Third urged anyone who may have seen a vehicle matching this description or captured it on doorbell cameras or dashcam footage to contact the police.
The police force continues to provide updates to the victim's family, with Det Supt Third expressing his thoughts are with them during this exceptionally difficult period. He acknowledged the significant concern and distress such an incident would undoubtedly cause within the local community. The investigation team is keen to review any CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from both Dale Close and Longfleet Road from the early hours of Friday morning.
