Tottenham have agreed a season-long loan deal for forward Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, which includes an obligation to buy the player for £60 million next year. The Egypt international is now expected to undergo a medical with the London club to complete the transfer formalities.
This move marks Spurs' second acquisition from City in a matter of days, following the arrival of Brazil winger Savio in a deal initially valued at £75 million. The commitment to spend £60 million on Marmoush will allow City to recover the £59 million fee they paid for him from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025.
The 27-year-old scored 16 goals in 62 games for City, often playing an understudy role to Erling Haaland. His last appearance for City was in the Community Shield, having been an unused substitute in Sunday's Premier League win against Bournemouth.
This summer has seen significant player movement at City, with Marmoush's exit following departures including Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and John Stones. Spurs will be hoping these new arrivals can help improve their fortunes after a 3-0 defeat at Brentford last Saturday, following consecutive 17th-placed finishes in the Premier League.
