Parts of Delhi have been fortified with tens of thousands of security forces deployed ahead of a major protest called for Saturday by the Gen Z-led "cockroach" movement. Police have denied permission for the gathering.
Several trains to Delhi have been cancelled. Additionally, police have ordered dozens of metro stations to shut to prevent protesters from gathering.
The protesters are seeking electoral reforms and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The Election Commission has denied allegations of manipulating voters' lists.
