Condé Nast Traveller editors have set out their October travel plans, mixing long-haul trips with seasonal shopping and London dining.

Social media manager Lucy Bruton is heading to Uganda for game drives, dhow river cruises and chimp and gorilla treks. Bruton also plans a weekend at the newly opened Great Decoy in Hampshire and is setting sights on Finnish Lapland to see new glass-roofed accommodation at SkyView Igloos.
Commerce producer Tamara Southward recently returned from a trip to Venice's Hotel Cipriani, which has unveiled a new Dior spa. Southward is also booked for microneedling with Dr David Jack and plans a return to Paris later in the month.
