Scott confessed that his early starts were all about learning from the masters – specifically, Nolan and renowned cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema. He was literally 'under the hood' of the camera, intensely studying their methods rather than holing up in his trailer. This wasn't your average Hollywood gig for Scott; he was eager to learn and take it all in.
Nolan had previously praised Scott's casting, stating that by including a rapper in the film, he wanted to acknowledge the roots of 'The Odyssey' as oral poetry – drawing parallels with rap music.
