Two people have been arrested as part of an investigation into historical child sex abuse at a former council-run children's care home in Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police stated that a 63-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman were arrested at addresses in Bradford and Manchester on 10 September. Both individuals have since been released on bail.
The force reported that two men and three women claim to have been sexually abused at Saxton Avenue Children's Home during the 1980s and 1990s, when they were aged between seven and 16.
Det Ch Insp Chantel Markham urged anyone who had been a victim of sexual abuse to report it to police, adding that these arrests are part of an ongoing commitment to investigate sexual offences against children.
Saxton Avenue Children's Home was renamed the Acres in 2014 and is no longer operating, having since closed.
