The UK Prime Minister welcomed Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Støre to Liverpool today, reflecting on the strong relationship between the two nations.
Discussions included the Lunna House strategic defence agreement, which both leaders believe will benefit the UK and Norway through job creation and defence cooperation in the North Atlantic. They also agreed on the importance of their partnership in tackling Russian hybrid aggression, particularly in the maritime domain, through NATO and the Joint Expeditionary Force.
The leaders also discussed their recent visits to the UN General Assembly and the need for international cooperation to address challenges posed by rapidly developing technology. The UK Prime Minister stated that the UK's G20 presidency would be used to promote collaboration and discussion on harnessing artificial intelligence for good.
They also welcomed the security brought to the High North by the agreement signed at UNGA between Denmark, Greenland, and the United States.
