Average house prices across the UK increased by 2% in the year to June 2026, with the average property now valued at £272,000. This annual growth is down from the revised estimate of 3% in the 12 months to May 2026.
On a monthly basis, UK house prices saw a 0.1% increase between May 2026 and June 2026. In England, average house prices rose by 0.2% over the same period, reaching an average value of £293,000.
Regionally within England, the North East experienced the most significant monthly increase, with prices rising by 1%. Conversely, the East Midlands saw the largest monthly price fall, down by 0.7%. Annually, the North West recorded the greatest price rise, up by 4.7%, while London experienced a 2.5% decrease in annual price growth, with an average property price of £554,000.
Wales saw average house prices fall by 0.9% since June 2026, though it recorded an annual price increase of 1.8%, taking the average property value to £213,000.
