Student accommodation platform UniHomes has demonstrated exceptional performance in its 2026 annual survey, recording a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +61 among more than 100 letting agents across the UK. This score positions the platform among the highest-rated providers within the competitive student accommodation sector, with industry benchmarks typically considering an NPS above +50 as indicative of strong performance.

The survey revealed that a significant 70% of participating agents rated UniHomes 9 or 10 out of 10 for their likelihood to recommend the service. A key driver of this high satisfaction was identified as enquiry generation, with 71% of agents highlighting it as the most important benefit. UniHomes reports that over 2 million students annually utilise its service to search for properties, all of which include bills in the rental price, simplifying the budgeting process for students.

The platform's distinctive bills-inclusive model, which bundles gas, electricity, water, and broadband into a single monthly payment, appears to be a significant factor in its success. This approach directly addresses student demand for financial certainty and is reportedly helping properties let faster across the sector. Beyond enquiry generation, UniHomes also received high satisfaction scores across seven other service areas, all exceeding 80%. Onboarding and speed of setup were rated highest at 90%, followed closely by account management and support at 88%, and the utility offering itself at 87%.

James Toogood, Head of Client Relationships at UniHomes, commented on the results, stating, “UniHomes is fundamentally built on our relationships with our partner agents, and those relationships allow us to deliver a truly stress-free experience for students. This feedback tells us is that those partnerships are stronger today than they’ve ever been.” Agent feedback specifically praised lead quality and platform efficiency, with LCJ Properties in Swansea noting the platform “generates a large number of enquiries” and Yetholm Properties in Newcastle citing “successful leads, efficient bills packages and excellent support.”

The strong performance of UniHomes comes as the broader property sector continues to adapt to evolving tenant expectations, particularly within the student accommodation market which faces unique pressures around affordability and service delivery. Operating across more than 60 UK cities with hundreds of letting agent partners, UniHomes has positioned its decade-long presence around this single-payment approach to address student budgeting concerns. The company has indicated plans to further expand its network of agent partnerships, reflecting its commitment to growth within the sector.

Why this matters: This highlights a successful model addressing student housing needs in the UK, offering financial clarity through all-inclusive bills, which could become a more widespread expectation. It also demonstrates how digital platforms are crucial for efficiency in the property market.

What this means for you: If you are a student or parent of a student, this indicates a growing trend towards simplified, all-inclusive rental packages, potentially making budgeting for university accommodation easier and more predictable.
