Uniworld, a leading luxury river cruise line, has unveiled details of three new 'super ships' set to launch in 2028. The new vessels, part of the company's boutique fleet, will cater to UK travellers looking for immersive and high-end river cruising experiences.
The SS Helen, inspired by Mediterranean and Greek culture, will sail on the Danube and feature a 154-capacity capacity. Its itineraries will include a 15-day 'Danube Grandeur' sailing from Belgrade to Nuremberg, visiting grand European capitals including Budapest, Belgrade, and Vienna.
The SS Clara, named after 17th-century Flemish painter Clara Peeters, will be based on the Rhine and have the same capacity as the SS Helen. It will debut on the eight-day 'Holland & Belgium at Tulip Time' itinerary, which takes in springtime in the Netherlands and Belgium, visiting vibrant flower fields, charming canals, and historic cities.
Uniworld's presence in Asia will also be expanded with the launch of the 68-passenger Mekong Mystique, which will feature European architectural details and interiors reflecting the heritage and landscapes of Vietnam and Cambodia. The vessel will join the existing Mekong Jewel in the region.
The new ships will take Uniworld's fleet size to 22 and are part of the company's new range of boutique 'super ships'. The first four of these vessels are set to launch in 2027, including SS Audrey and SS Marlene, inspired by Hollywood icons Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich.
