The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) has announced vacancies for two Senior Scientific Officers within its Biologicals Team. These roles are central to the authorisation process in the UK for biological and immunological veterinary products, including vaccines and novel therapy veterinary medicinal products.
Successful candidates will primarily assess quality, safety, and efficacy data submitted by pharmaceutical companies. This work supports applications for marketing authorisations, including complex variations and sections of new authorisations. The officers will also assist other scientists and veterinarians with more complex applications.
The positions offer a salary of £46,060 per annum, along with a pension scheme and an initial annual leave entitlement of 25 days.
