Wales have ended a three-year wait for consecutive victories with a thrilling 33-31 win over the Barbarians at Allianz Stadium in south west London. The win marks a significant boost for the Welsh national team ahead of the inaugural Nations Championship.
Outside-half Dan Edwards was instrumental in the win, contributing 14 points with two tries and a conversion. He was joined by tries from Kieran Hardy, Reuben Morgan-Williams, and Ellis Mee, with Sam Costelow adding two conversions.
The Barbarians, however, put up a strong fight, with Vincent Koch and Alex Nankivell scoring tries. The most impressive individual performance came from Wales great George North, who scored two tries on his farewell appearance before retirement.
Wales were without 13 players who were on the books of English and French clubs, but forwards Teddy Williams and Jac Morgan were available after long-term injuries. Morgan, a British and Irish Lions flanker, had not worn Wales colours since dislocating his shoulder in November.
The win is a significant confidence boost for Wales ahead of the Nations Championship, and it will be interesting to see how they perform in their upcoming matches.
