Wales head coach Sean Lynn has selected eight uncapped players in his 39-strong squad for the WXV Global Series fixtures scheduled for this month. The squad will be co-captained by back-row forwards Alex Callender and Kate Williams for the Tests against South Africa and USA.
Among the uncapped players are wings Amy Williams and Kelsie Webster, and prop Stella Orrin, who previously featured in an uncapped match against the Barbarians in June. Other Test novices include props Crystal James and Elan Jones, hooker Shanelle Williams, scrum half Megan Davey, and centre Hanna Tudor.
Wales are set to open their campaign against South Africa on Friday, 18 September, followed by a match against USA on Saturday, 26 September, both held at Cardiff Arms Park. The team will then travel to Japan for two further Tests in October.
