A new trend in the wedding industry sees content creators providing newlyweds with social media-ready videos within 24 hours of their ceremony. This service aims to bridge the gap between the wedding day and the arrival of professional photos, which can take weeks.
Jade Burton, 22, from Poole, Dorset, started her business, Wed In Focus, in July, filming and editing highlight reels for couples. Industry experts note a rapid increase in content creators since their appearance in the UK wedding market in 2022.
Nikita Thorne, from the UK Wedding Association, attributes this growth to the increasing influence of social media on weddings and the relatively low cost of starting such a business. The average price for a wedding content creator can range from £200 to £1,000, covering filming and editing.
However, Thorne cautions that the low barriers to entry mean some individuals may offer these services with limited experience in wedding delivery. She advises couples to verify the experience and credentials of content creators.
