Leicester Tigers' Welsh back-row trio of Aaron Wainwright, Olly Cracknell, and Tommy Reffell have made a significant impact in the club's encouraging start to the Premiership campaign. The three players, who had not played together previously, have started all three of Leicester's league matches.
The Tigers have secured victories against Newcastle and Gloucester, with their only defeat coming narrowly against Saracens. Wainwright and Reffell have been deployed as flankers, while Cracknell has played at number eight, forming a well-rounded unit.
Aaron Wainwright, who joined Leicester after a decade at Dragons, is poised to make his Champions Cup debut for the club. He is expected to feature in Leicester's upcoming away match against Pau on Sunday.
Both Wainwright and fellow flanker Jac Morgan are considered certainties for Steve Tandy's Wales Nations Championship squad, which is due to be announced on 20 October. Reffell and Cracknell are also playing well enough to be considered for inclusion, despite facing stiff competition for places.
