White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has announced she is free of cancer, exactly six months after revealing her diagnosis. In a post on X, Ms Wiles stated that her pathology tests "came back clear" following a visit to the Mayo Clinic earlier this week.

Ms Wiles, 69, is considered a powerful figure within the Trump administration and is particularly close to the US president. She thanked President Trump for his "unwavering support" and pledged to continue her work to "advance his America First Agenda."

During her six months of treatment following the diagnosis, Ms Wiles continued to work virtually at the White House. In a statement from March, she noted that one in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer, adding, "I now join their ranks."
