Wigan Return to Top of Women's Super League

Wigan Warriors have returned to the top of the Women's Super League after maintaining their 100% record in 2026 with a resounding 56-12 victory over Huddersfield Giants. The win at Laund Hill saw the Warriors run in 10 tries, with Anna Davies and Megan Williams both scoring twice.

Denis Betts' side were in control from the start, with Davies crossing the line in the fourth minute to get the scoring underway. The Warriors continued to dominate, with Mia Atherton also touching down twice, along with Jenna Foubister, Bethan Dainton, Grace Banks, and Mary Coleman. Huddersfield managed to stay competitive in the first 45 minutes, with Amelia Brown scoring twice and Mollie Iceton once to make the scoreline 22-12.

However, Wigan's superiority soon became apparent as they went on to score six tries in the final 24 minutes, cementing their position at the top of the league. Elsewhere, Leeds Rhinos also secured a convincing victory, notching 11 tries in their 46-6 win over Barrow Raiders. Liv Whitehead scored a hat-trick for the Rhinos, who remain third in the table.

York Valkyrie completed the trio of wins, demolishing Leigh Leopards 40-0. Monique Donovan and Adaoha Akwiwu both scored twice for the Valkyrie, who consolidated their fourth place in the table.
