A woman in San Francisco gave birth to a healthy baby girl while experiencing heavy traffic congestion, local authorities have confirmed. The incident occurred near the city's Golden Gate Park.
The San Francisco fire department stated that a couple, identified as Karollyn and Nate, were forced to pull over due to the imminent birth. Emergency services were called, but first responders also became stuck in traffic and had to proceed to the couple on foot.
Before paramedics arrived, a doula named Katie Higgins, who was also in traffic, stopped to assist with the delivery. Both mother and child were later transported to a local hospital and are reported to be in good condition.
