Adina Mihai, 31, has been jailed for 17 years for administering a deadly amount of sedative to two men, leading to their deaths. Her partner, Madalin Dumitru, 30, received the same sentence.
The pair arranged for Mihai to meet men at their homes, where she would drug them with gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) in their drinks. The intention was to incapacitate the victims, making them deeply unconscious, according to Mrs Justice Brunner at Oxford Crown Court.
Two men, Malcolm King, 80, from Gloucestershire, and Gary Mouat, 36, from Oxfordshire, died after being drugged. Mihai also administered poison to two other men who survived.
The court heard that Mihai would steal items such as watches, jewellery, aftershave, and cash from the unconscious victims. The pair, from Ilford, Essex, pleaded guilty to two charges of manslaughter and to administering poison to the two survivors.
