Yamal Stars as Spain Defeat Czechia 3-1, Nearing Nations League Quarter-Finals

Lamine Yamal, 19, continued his impressive scoring run, netting for the third consecutive game within six minutes as Spain defeated Czechia 3-1. The victory, played in Oviedo, brings Spain within a single point of qualifying for the Nations League quarter-finals.

Yamal's goal, scored five minutes and 20 seconds into the match, was followed by a strike from Rodrigo Hernandez in the 32nd minute, giving Spain a 2-0 lead at half-time. Yamal was substituted at the break.

Czechia mounted a comeback in the second half, with Jiri Slama pulling one back in the 69th minute. An 80th-minute equaliser from Ryan Naderi was disallowed by the referee, Vassilis Fotias, reportedly for a foul on Robin Le Normand. Mikel Merino sealed the win for Spain with two minutes remaining.
