Zenzap, a private messenger application featuring artificial intelligence, has raised $44 million in funding. Investors in the round include Bessemer, Lightspeed, and The Garage, alongside individual investors Nir Zohar, President of Wix, and Yoram Tietz, former GM of EY.
The company, founded by Guy Weiss in 2022 with co-founders Noam Neumann and Jonatan Bien, aims to offer businesses a communication platform for staff that complies with IT and security regulations. Weiss previously bootstrapped the e-commerce marketing platform StuccoMedia, which he sold in 2015.
Zenzap provides standard chat functions such as group chats and direct messages on its free tier, along with task management, calendar integration, and schedule management. It also includes AI-powered voice chat and search. Paid plans, starting from $51 per month for up to 20 users, offer voice and video calls, smart task sorting, task templates, and increased file storage limits. These paid tiers also enable AI search across the workspace and the conversion of messages into tasks.
The platform also features AI agents for workflow automation and AI-aided transcriptions for voice notes and calls, which are available through a credit-based pricing system. Organizations reportedly using Zenzap include FedEx, Dollar General, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Casey's, and Regal. Branches of fast-food chains like IHOP and McDonald's are also said to use the platform for coordinating shifts and discussing supply.
Zenzap currently employs 50 staff across the U.S., Tel Aviv, and Europe, with plans to hire in its product and R&D departments.
