Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi, 27, may be eyeing an exit from the club in January. Reports suggest the Spain international could push for a move after losing his spot in the starting line-up, with Chelsea and Real Madrid reportedly showing interest.

In other transfer news, Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, 33, a free agent since leaving Galatasaray in July, is reportedly open to a move to Everton. However, sources within Everton have reportedly played down any links to Icardi, as well as fellow free agent Anthony Martial.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa are in discussions with Netherlands left-back Ian Maatsen, 24, regarding a new contract. Italy defender Giorgio Scalvini, 22, a reported Newcastle target, has signed a new long-term deal with Atalanta. Crystal Palace striker Eddie Nketiah, 27, is considering switching his international allegiance from England to Ghana.
