A 19th Century revivalist chapel in Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, is set to go to auction with a guide price of just £1. The Grade II listed Ebenezer Chapel, built in 1811, was last used in 2009 and is now described as overgrown and derelict.

Paul Fosh Auctions stated that the substantial detached property had partial renovation work completed, but its planning permission for conversion into five flats has since lapsed. Auctioneer Sean Roper noted that the chapel, which includes a domestic-sized single garage, is located in Trecynon and offers two storeys of accommodation on a sizeable, overgrown plot of approximately 0.23 acres.
