Police Scotland has arrested 36 individuals following extensive early-morning raids across Scotland, targeting a Vietnamese organised crime group. The operation, described as one of Scotland's largest, involved approximately 300 officers who simultaneously searched 47 addresses.

The raids led to the discovery of 14 cannabis-growing operations. Police Scotland alleges the group is involved in "poly-criminality," including human trafficking, drug production, fraud, money laundering, and organised immigration crime.

Detective Superintendent Stevie Bertram stated that this was Police Scotland's biggest human trafficking investigation. Officers also made arrests in Birmingham, with support from Home Office Immigration Enforcement and His Majesty's Revenue and Customs. Police will now work to identify any potential victims of human trafficking among those arrested.
