Bunny Levine, the actor recognised for her roles in shows such as Gilmore Girls and Law & Order, and the film La La Land, has passed away at 97. Her representative confirmed to NBC Los Angeles that Levine died at home in Tarzana, California, with police indicating that the death "appeared to be from natural causes."
Levine embarked on her acting career later in life, in her fifties, following more than two decades as a school librarian and raising three children. Her initial role was in the 1988 horror-comedy Slime City, leading to a more prolific presence on television in the 2000s.
She featured in series like Everybody Loves Raymond, Ugly Betty, and Community. Levine also had an uncredited appearance in the Oscar-winning musical La La Land and her recent parts included roles in Jury Duty and the 2024 road movie Thelma. Her final film role was in the 2026 indie horror film The Cure.
