Crusaders secured a 3-2 win against Portadown at Seaview on Saturday, with Adam Brooks scoring a hat-trick. This marks the first hat-trick of the Irish Premiership season.
Brooks opened the scoring in the 11th minute from Kurtis Forsythe's cross, added a second in the 32nd minute from Owen Wardell's delivery, and completed his hat-trick early in the second half after capitalising on a back pass from Jack Scott.
Portadown, who had Finn Flanagan sent off in the first half, scored through Baris Altintop and Eamon Fyfe. This defeat means Portadown manager David Jeffrey has lost his opening three games in charge.
