Instinct, an AI startup founded last year, has secured $250 million in a recent Series B funding round. This latest investment brings the company's total funding to $350 million, valuing the startup at $2.5 billion.

The Series B funding round was co-led by Index Ventures and Benchmark, according to reports. Instinct, offered by Spear Street Technology and led by founder Noah Shinn, provides an AI assistant designed to help users organise their lives.

Users can connect the AI assistant to their apps and devices, communicating with it via texts and calls. Shinn stated on Wednesday that early users have utilised Instinct for tasks such as planning road trips, purchasing groceries and concert tickets, cancelling subscriptions, and even planning a wedding.

Currently in private beta, Instinct has also faced privacy concerns. Some online users have expressed worries regarding the app's required permissions and its terms of use, citing their potential for invasiveness.
