Alexander Zverev delivered the decisive victory for Team Europe at the Laver Cup in London, securing a 13-5 win over Team World. Zverev, who had been praised by Carlos Alcaraz following recent French Open and US Open successes, overcame Learner Tien with a 7-6 (3) 6-3 scoreline.
The German's win brought an end to Team Europe's streak of three defeats in the last four editions of the Ryder Cup-style event. Earlier on Sunday, Flavio Cobolli and Jakub Mensik also contributed to Team Europe's progress by winning their doubles match against Taylor Fritz and Alex De Minaur.
