Thousands of amateur darts players are set to begin their bid for a dream showdown with Luke Littler, as regional heats for a new Netflix show commence this weekend. The first qualification event is scheduled for Saturday at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

Up to 20 successful players will ultimately get the opportunity to 'Beat Luke Littler' in a single leg of 501, with a £501,000 jackpot at stake. The show, hosted by Gary Lineker, is slated to be streamed on Netflix on October 30.

Aspiring champions must navigate a three-stage qualification process. This includes checking out 501 in a set number of darts, undergoing interviews with the production team, and impressing a PDC judging panel of former players who will assess their ability to challenge Littler.

A second regional qualification event is planned for Manchester on September 19. Darts players aged 12 and over are eligible to participate.
