Panos Panay, Amazon's Senior Vice President of Devices and Services, is scheduled to speak at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026. He will provide insights into the future of hardware development beyond the smartphone.
The event, taking place from October 13-15 in San Francisco, will feature Panay discussing how hardware may evolve as AI becomes more integrated into operating systems and devices. Panay previously spent over 19 years at Microsoft, where he oversaw the development of Surface devices and Windows 11.
Since joining Amazon, Panay has been involved in the generative AI revamp of Alexa, including the rollout of Alexa+ in the U.S. earlier this year. His talk at Disrupt will explore what is next for Amazon and Alexa+, considering a future where daily routines might revolve around assistants or other form factors instead of phones.
