Amy Hunt has clinched her second gold medal at the European Championships, winning the 200m race with a time of 22.19 seconds. This victory adds to her earlier 100m title, moving her closer to a potential record of four gold medals at a single European Championships.
The 24-year-old faced a strong challenge from domestic rival Dina Asher-Smith, who ultimately secured the bronze medal. Ireland's Rhasidat Adeleke took silver, finishing in 22.28 seconds, just ahead of Asher-Smith.
Hunt's performance was met with a significant cheer from the 20,082 attendees at Alexander Stadium. She now plans to compete in the 4x100m women’s and mixed relays to achieve her goal of a quadruple gold.
