Britain's Amy Hunt, fresh from winning four historic gold medals at the recent European Athletics Championships, secured second place in the 200m at the Lausanne Diamond League on Friday. American Kayla White claimed victory in 22.18 seconds, with Hunt finishing in 22.32 seconds after a photo-finish against Nigeria's Favour Ofili.
Hunt commented that she felt "tired before the race and my pre-competition felt pretty stiff." Elsewhere at the event, Switzerland's Audrey Werro achieved a meet best to win the 800m on home soil.
Other notable results included Emmanuel Wanyonyi winning the men's 800m, Letsile Tebogo dominating the men's 200m, and Pedro Pichardo winning the triple-jump. Meeting records were also set by Masai Russell in the 100m hurdles and Rai Benjamin in the 400m hurdles.
