On Tuesday, AI company Anthropic announced an expansion of its Claude for Startups program. The initiative offers subsidised access to its AI models and other benefits for eligible companies.
The updated program, launched during Anthropic’s SF Tech Week event, provides a free year of Claude Team, Anthropic’s paid plan for groups, with up to five premium seats. Additionally, companies will receive $1,000 in API credits for developing with Claude.
Participating companies will also gain access to Claude Marketplace, enabling them to build plugins for the service, and can book virtual office hours with Anthropic’s Applied AI team. Anthropic stated that the program was created because the company believes "the benefits of AI will reach most people through the companies that build on top of models, rather than through the models alone."
To qualify, companies must have been founded within the last five years or have received funding in the last two years. Interested companies can apply via the Claude for Startups program page.
