Apple held its first fall event under newly appointed CEO John Ternus on Wednesday, unveiling its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo. The device features a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display, with an under-display camera on the inner screen. Apple says it delivers up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and up to 44 hours on the outer display.
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 with 256GB of storage and comes in two colours. Pre-orders open October 16, with the device in stores on October 23.
Apple also announced the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, which retain the previous design but add a 48-megapixel camera with a variable aperture. The Pro models start at $1,199 and $1,299 respectively, with pre-orders opening Saturday and availability on September 18.
The Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 introduce software features including Sound Recognition, which can alert users to sounds like sirens or a baby crying, and Audio Intelligence tools such as Live Rewind and Siri Recap. The watches start at $399 and $499, with pre-orders opening today and availability on September 18.
AirPods 5 were also announced, with improved noise cancellation and volume controls on the stem. They start at $129, with pre-orders from today and arrival on September 18.
Apple previewed a redesigned Health app with an Insights tab and a Longevity tab, rolling out later this year in U.S. English.
