Arsenal has confirmed that nine fans were banned during the 2025-26 season due to abusive behaviour. The club released these figures on Tuesday, ahead of the upcoming domestic season.
The disciplinary actions were taken for a range of offences, including assault, homophobia, racism, antisemitism, and other forms of abusive or intimidating behaviour. The banning orders issued to these individuals range from one to three years, prohibiting them from attending any matches involving Arsenal.
Chief executive Richard Garlick stated that the club will continue its fight against all forms of discrimination. Arsenal is also collaborating with police on 13 additional ongoing enquiries into alleged in-person or online offences, with suspects facing the club’s disciplinary processes.
Through a partnership with data science firm Signify Group, the club identified over 17,700 abusive messages and comments directed at individuals and accounts connected to Arsenal, a significant increase from the previous year. Out of 267 completed investigations, 39 individuals were identified and referred for disciplinary measures, with nine cases escalated to law enforcement.
Garlick emphasised that abuse and discrimination have no place at Arsenal, whether in the stadium or online. He affirmed the club's commitment to taking action against such incidents and protecting players, staff, supporters, and communities.
