Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a move for Lyon winger Malick Fofana ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline. The Premier League champions' interest in the 21-year-old forward stretches back to last summer.
Lyon are in a position where they need to sell players after failing to qualify for the Champions League, with Fofana identified as one of their key assets. The Belgium international, who primarily plays on the left wing, could be available for around £50 million.
The Gunners have already sold Gabriel Martinelli to Al Hilal for £60 million and Gabriel Jesus is in talks to join Barcelona. While Arsenal have added left-sided attacker Christos Tzolis after selling Leandro Trossard, they have also pursued other attacking targets, including Vinicius Jr and Julian Alvarez, before returning to their long-standing interest in Fofana.
