Everton have agreed a deal to sign US striker Folarin Balogun from Monaco for approximately £40m, while Beto is set to join Fiorentina.

  • Everton have agreed a deal with Monaco for striker Folarin Balogun for around £40m.
  • Beto, 28, is set to leave Everton, with Fiorentina agreeing a deal to sign him.
  • Everton are also in talks for Richarlison's return and Jack Grealish's potential move.

Everton have reached an agreement with Monaco to sign United States striker Folarin Balogun for approximately £40m. This move is part of manager David Moyes' apparent plan to reshape the club's attacking options before the transfer deadline.

Balogun, 25, who came through Arsenal's youth system, scored 19 goals for Monaco last season. His arrival coincides with the departure of 28-year-old Beto, for whom Fiorentina have agreed a deal.

The Toffees are also reportedly in discussions for a potential return for Richarlison from Tottenham. Additionally, talks are advanced with Manchester City to bring back Jack Grealish, who was on loan last season and is considered surplus to requirements at City.

In other transfer news, Everton are close to securing a right-back, with Kenny Tete from Fulham potentially costing around £9m. However, the club decided against selling teenage midfielder Harrison Armstrong to Nottingham Forest following supporter backlash, a decision manager Moyes reportedly supported.
