Tigst Assefa and Guye Adola have claimed victories at the Berlin Marathon 2026. Assefa, an Ethiopian runner, secured her third Berlin title in the women's race, finishing in 02:11:04. She outpaced compatriots Bedatu Hirpa and Dera Dida by over five minutes.
In the men's elite race, Ethiopia's Guye Adola won with a time of 2:02:50. Adola established a nine-second lead before the final 7km, ahead of Gemechu Dida Diriba and Gabriel Geay, who finished second and third respectively.
