Australia were bowled out for 284 in their second innings, despite a century from Cameron Green, who scored 104. Bangladesh then chased the required 57 runs for victory, losing only one wicket.

All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz played a key role for Bangladesh, taking 5-66 in Australia's second innings. Earlier in the match, paceman Hasan Mahmud took 6-55 as Australia were bowled out for 198 in their first innings. Bangladesh compiled 426 in their first innings, with Tanzid Hasan scoring 101.

The performance of openers Jake Weatherald and Marnus Labuschagne for Australia will reportedly be scrutinised ahead of the second Test.
