Barcelona have officially completed the signing of Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus on a permanent deal. The move, for a reported fee of £8.6 million (10m euros), sees the Brazilian forward join last season's Spanish league champions.
Jesus's departure follows a period where he had fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal, partly due to injury issues and the preference for Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres as central strikers. He completed his medical on Monday, with Napoli also having shown interest in his services.
The striker joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, where he made 123 appearances, scoring 32 goals and contributing 22 assists. His transfer marks Barcelona's third acquisition from a Premier League club this summer, following Anthony Gordon from Newcastle and Rodri from Manchester City.
