France's Olympic champion Cassandre Beaugrand has won the World Championship Triathlon Series final in Pontevedra, Spain. Great Britain's Georgia Taylor-Brown claimed silver, finishing over a minute behind Beaugrand.
GB team-mates Kate Waugh and Beth Potter secured third and fourth places respectively. Potter needed a win in the final event to overtake Beaugrand in the overall standings but finished fourth.
Beaugrand completed the 1.5km swim, 40km bike ride, and 10km run in one hour 50 minutes 52 seconds. This victory concludes a dominant season for Beaugrand, who has won all five World Championship circuit races she entered.
Taylor-Brown previously won the Czech Republic leg of the series earlier this month, marking her first tour win since 2023.
