A fan obsessed with Billie Piper has been jailed for 12 months after breaching a stalking prevention order. Philip Jerome, 49, had a sexual interest in the singer and actor and repeatedly tried to get in touch with her in the hope they would end up in a relationship, a court in Hampshire was told.
The court heard Jerome had been attempting to contact Piper for more than eight years. He was subject to a restraining order in 2018 after attending her home and sending her letters. He breached this order by sending messages to Piper's mother and sister on Facebook and attending her home again.
In 2022, Jerome was jailed after appearing at a pop culture convention where he posed for two photographs with Piper on the same day, wearing different clothing. He was ejected from the event when Piper recognised him. Later that year, he was made subject to a stalking prevention order.
Police inspecting Jerome's devices in December 2025 found four images of Piper on his phone and that he had tagged 11 posts and images relating to her on X. District Judge Kirsty Allman told Jerome that his motivation was to contact Piper in the hope she would engage in a relationship, describing this as "delusional."
Jerome pleaded guilty to four counts of breaching a stalking prevention order. His defence accepted he had shown a lack of remorse and empathy, but stated he had sought psychological support to stop him seeking "obsessive and unsuccessful relationships."
