Birmingham's inaugural Youth Guarantee Jobs Fair brought together over 750 young people with more than 70 businesses, charities, and local partners. The event, held in Birmingham, saw 24 attendees receive job offers immediately.
Additionally, 44 young people were offered work experience opportunities, and 76 were matched to live vacancies and employer information sessions. Leading employers such as Severn Trent, Lloyds Banking Group, PureGym, and Wates were present, offering career advice and information on job opportunities.
The Jobs Fair is part of the Government's broader youth employment support, which is backed by a £2.5 billion investment. Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden stated that the initiative aims to provide every young person with the chance to earn or learn.
