Indie band Blossoms debuted a new song titled 'Additional Driver' with Declan McKenna during a one-off homecoming gig in Manchester. The performance took place last night, Wednesday August 5, at the Manchester Deaf Institute.
The intimate show celebrated the 10th anniversary of Blossoms' breakthrough 2016 debut album, which was played in its entirety. The setlist also included the first live rendition of 'Onto Her Bed' in a decade, alongside other fan favourites and deep cuts.
'Additional Driver' is described as a lighthearted anthem that references a car crash. Audio from the live debut will be featured on a live CD edition of Blossoms' upcoming album, 'Songs From The Wedding Cake', which is scheduled for release on October 2.
Blossoms are set to embark on an arena tour in November, with dates kicking off on November 26 at Cardiff's Utilita Arena. They are also scheduled to appear as special guests at Leeds Festival on Friday, August 28.
