Phoebe Bridgers is set to premiere her new album, 'Lost Weekend', in planetariums across the globe, accompanied by custom-made visual displays. The indie artist's third solo record is scheduled for release next Friday, August 14, via Dead Oceans.
These unique listening sessions, a partnership with Spotify, will begin on Monday, August 10. Each showing will feature one of two original visual accompaniments: a custom dome show designed by night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi, or an immersive laser show by Laser Fantasy.
A total of 44 planetariums are participating, including locations in the US, Switzerland, France, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand. Attendees will be required to place phones and other recording devices into Yondr pouches upon arrival.
In addition to the planetarium events, over 300 midnight album release parties are confirmed worldwide for August 13, allowing fans to experience 'Lost Weekend' together for the first time.
