BMW has launched the M350 xDrive, which replaces the M340i in its 3 Series line-up. The new model features a 437bhp straight-six engine and is equipped with xDrive four-wheel drive.
A notable feature, called 'Drift Moment', allows the M350 xDrive to operate as a rear-wheel-drive drift car by sending all engine power to the rear wheels. However, this function will not be available when the car is launched. BMW states that the drift function will be enabled via a remote software update during 2027, including for vehicles already delivered.
Production of the BMW M350 xDrive is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026, with UK deliveries expected to follow. BMW has not yet confirmed a UK price for the M350 xDrive. The car's provisional performance figures include a 0-62mph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph.
