A 525ft (160m) nature-themed mural, thought to be one of the longest of its kind in the country, has been unveiled in Bootle. Street artist Paul Curtis worked with pupils from Thomas Gray Primary and All Saints Primary schools on the project.
The mural was commissioned to transform a path between the two schools, which pupils had described as graffiti-covered and surrounded by litter. The children provided the nature-inspired designs for the hand-painted artwork.
Sam Turner, schools neighbourhood officer for Sefton Council, stated the mural was created as part of the Bootle North Park School Neighbourhoods project, in collaboration with the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. Mr Curtis said the project "brings a little bit of positivity to the area."
